Sebastian is an R&D Architect in the Storage area in the Office of Strategy and Technology, Hewlett-Packard. He holds an Informatics Engineer degree (Master Level) from the Catholic University of Uruguay, in Montevideo, with a dissertation on Quantum Computers. Sebastian has worked in Hewlett-Packard for more than 10 years, joining the company in Boeblingen, Germany and worked in the US between 2007 and 2010, before moving to Brazil. In Brazil he joined HP’s Enterprise Computing Lab as a Senior Architect and is working on storage technologies, with emphasis on Long-Term Retention and Archiving. He has written several articles for HP’s technical conference and is currently co-chairing the SNIA’s Cloud Archive SiG.
