Jim directs Schneider Electric’s data-center Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software development and related research.  He has authored dozens technical papers and holds more than 20 US patents related to data center cooling.  Jim is a long-time member and recent chair of ASHRAE TC 4.10, Indoor Environmental Modeling.  He and fellow co-authors were honored with ASHRAE’s 2013 Crosby Field Award for their work on a compact transient model for server and rack thermal mass.  Jim has a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Duke University and is a registered professional engineer in the state of Massachusetts.
