Joining Future Resource Engineering in October of 2014, Tim Hirschenhofer leads all operational and engineering functions for Future Resource Engineering, including project design, project management and implementation, efficiency engineering, and controls.  Tim brings over 10 years of Director-level experience in identifying and implementing data center infrastructure efficiency projects for colocation, higher education, and enterprise companies ranging in size from 5,000 to over 100,000 sq. ft. 

Tim also brings his extensive experience in working with local utilities across the US to qualify efficiency projects for maximum incentives on behalf of Future Resource Engineering’s customers.  Tim has been instrumental in qualifying Future Resource Engineering for special trade ally or efficiency partner status with many utilities across the country. He has worked to qualify complex engineering projects for customer incentives with utilities such as NSTAR, National Grid, ComEd, ConEd, APS, NYSERDA, NJ Clean Energy, DCSEU, Xcel Energy, and many others.

Prior to Future Resource Engineering, Tim served as Director of Data Center Energy Engineering for a Boston area engineering firm focused on providing turnkey efficiency solutions to commercial, industrial, data center, and higher education customers across the US.  Before that, he held senior operations and technology positions in both the data center and semiconductor industries, and worked with internal and external customers internationally to ensure products and services met the highest standards.
